This Just In: Moving With Pets Sucks

By Dustin

I’ve moved so many times over the past five years–and always with my pets–you’d think I’d remember by now how much extra stress moving with pets would be…

Last year Cindy and I moved 3,000 miles with the animals, and I feel like THAT move was less stressful than the one we just finished, and THIS move was just right down the street!

Anyway, our new apartment is twice the size of the little basement apartment we’ve lived in for the past year, so I’m thinking that’s the main reason the dogs and cats (and the humans!) are having a hard time getting used to things.

The dogs are just pacing around everywhere, going from room to room–and there’s hardwood flooring throughout the place, so you hear every. Single. Step. One of our cats spent the first two nights meowing his head off alllll night!

I’m so tired. The dogs are tired. I should just go take a nap.

But I have to go buy a bunch of rugs for the hardwood so our 15-year-old Pom Pom doesn’t continue slipping all over the place.

Then a nap. For sure.

Right after I take them for a walk.
