Tuesday’s Adoptable Dog: Molly From Arizona Humane Society!
By Dustin
It seems like just yesterday Molly was a young and energetic puppy but
now the 6-year-old Belgian shepherd mix has slowed down to couch potato
speed and has hit that milestone birthday that makes her a Prime Time
dog at the Arizona Humane Society.
Molly has been a faithful companion since her puppy days and deserves
some pampering-especially due to the fact that the last few years have
been a little rough. Molly was first brought to AHS in 2011 because her
original owner was moving and a year after being adopted she was
returned because the family had no time- not even for a mellow dog.
She is housetrained and she recently expanded her impressive trick
repertoire when she mastered “shake” a week ago- she is very smart!
This full-figured girl needs someone who will not only pamper her with
lots of love and attention but also coax her off the couch and get her
moving. Already leash trained, Molly enjoys a slow pace on her morning
walk around the neighborhood and you can bet that she will stop to smell
nearly every tree and shrub along the way- but her new owner needs to
keep her moving. Low-calorie treats (or even ice cubes) will help her
shed a few pounds and help her feel more comfortable during her Golden
Years.
Molly is extremely affectionate and clings to those who show her
kindness. She doesn’t demand attention and is happy to sit at your feet
while you watch TV or lay by your side while you work on the computer.
Every now and then she will nudge your arm just to let you know that she
is there and that is her way of showing she loves you.
She would prefer to have all the attention to herself and be the only
dog in her new home. She would do best in a home with children 12-years
and older.
She is available NOW at the Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West
Dobbins Rd in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is only $35. This fee includes
her spay surgery, vaccinations, a colorful leash and collar with an AHS
ID tag and a free follow up veterinary exam. For more information call
