Review: Trader Joe’s Chicken Breast Wraps
You know you go to Trader Joe’s a lot when when the folks at the checkout counter say things like “You come here a lot, don’t you?”
I do. I do indeed.
So much so, in fact, that I’m apparently even buying and trying the Trader Joe’s line of pet products…yes, they even have THAT (if you have no idea what Trader Joe’s is, look ‘em up online, find the nearest location, and drive…drive into the night if you have to).
Casper and Pom Pom were out of chewy treats, so Cindy and I picked up a pack of $4 Chicken Breast Wraps for the dogs while doing our usual we-have-no-idea-what-to-eat-for-dinner-so-let’s-buy-random-stuff-from-Trader Joe’s-and-call-it-”Frozen Appetizer Night”-nights.
Only two ingredients in the Chicken Breast Wraps: Dried chicken breast fillet and dried natural rawhide. I’m not a huge fan of rawhide, since it’s not exactly great for doggie digestion, but much in the same way certain people wake up early every Sunday morning to go get a dozen calorie-packed donuts (ahem), every dog must be allowed to indulge once in awhile.
Needless to say, Casper has been chewing on his new chicken/rawhide nonstop for over an hour. The chews are quite hard, so Pom Pom and her mini senior teeth didn’t have much luck (not to worry, she’ll just steal Casper’s once he’s softened it up a bit after a round of chewing).
Four bucks gets you a pack of five of these little wraps. Overall, a slightly above-average chew for a decent price. Definitely the kind of thing you’d get when you want to get a little treat for your pooch, but don’t want to make a trek to the pet store.

Hello Dustin. Is it possible to order a bunch of Chicken Breast Wraps? I can only find them occasionally in the 3 Trader Joe’s stores around me? I live in Maryland, & shop at the Columbia, Pikesville, & Silver Spring stores. Thank you!! Claudia
I would like to order some chicken breast wraps. I checked out 2 Trader Joe’s in Pasadena and San Gabriel/Temple City, CA. But they do not have them anymore. These are the only ones that my dog will chew.
