There’s a new warrior in the battle against pet hair: The “Fabric Sweeper For Pet Hair” from Pledge.

Just roll this handy little contraption over couch cushions, beds or the seats of your car and watch the hair disappear. The rollers grab onto the hair and its collected into a compartment on the top.

Since the hair collection area has a see-through top, you get to see all the hair that’s been picked up–it’s both strangely satisfying and kind of gross at the same time (“I’ve been sitting on THAT?”).

This bruiser works great on smooth, firm surfaces, but isn’t really suited for things like blankets or clothing. So if you’re hoping to ditch those annoying and expensive pet rollers, thin again.

Pros: Quickly and effectively removes pet hair from furniture.

Cons: Considering these rollers are meant to be disposable–as in, once the “fur trap” fills up, you throw it away, the price (around $5 for one sweeper) feels a little steep.
