Review: Loki Puppy Leather Collar from The Cool Puppy
With summer finally showing up, I recently started packing up some of my winter sweaters and jackets and pulling out my t’shirts and shorts–then I took a glance at one of the lower corners of our closet and realized Pom Pom’s wardrobe is more extensive than mine–leashes, harnesses, shirts, collars–that furball is loaded.
Speaking of collars, a new one has found its way into Pom’s collection: The Loki Puppy Leather Collar from the folks at thecoolpuppy.com.
I’m always skeptical of a new collar at first, usually because a quality collar is pricy, and I just have a hard time justifying plunking down the green on something that might not last more than a few months. Pom Pom’s been test-driving the Loki Puppy collar for a couple of weeks now, and so far I’m really impressed with its light, but sturdy construction.
As far as style goes, it’s right up Pom Pom (and Cindy’s) alley…Pink. It also has a bunch of multi sized and colored hollow studs on it. Unfortunately, my limited wardrobe and fashion sense prohibit me from going any further in detail about style, but Cindy says it’s “super cute,” and that’s good enough for me.
There is only one real drawback to the Loki Puppy collar: The buckle on the collar seems a bit heavy–not a deal-breaker by any means since the rest of the collar is pretty light, but it’s something to consider on smaller dogs with more fragile necks. Pom Pom’s an 8-pound Papillion, and it’s no problem with her.
Pros: Has all the style that pooches and their humans crave. Durable, easy-to-clean material.
Cons: The $24.99 price tag may be steep for some, but shipping is free

Good lord that’s a lot of money! Or maybe I’m just cheap….or a little bit of column a and a little bit of column b! Haha It is super cute though! Have you seen Tinkerbell’s Dooney & Bourke collar? I’m SO jealous cause I’d like one for Roxie, but they don’t make them anymore as far as I can tell, and the only one I’ve found on ebay is for bigger dogs. Perhaps I’ll look around on thecoolpuppy.com and indulge myself…er, Roxie…in a fancy new collar for her birthday!

Haha, I’m definitely guilty of spending too much $$ on doggie and kitty collars. Pom Pom’s was about $40, and Casper’s was $30. Coach factory stores have dog collars for $25, but I think they’re too thick for small dogs….

So where are the collars being shipped from?
I was to know because I just ordered one and want to know how long the shipping will take

Oh, how exciting Candice! I love new collars.
I’m not exactly sure where it’s being shipped from, but we got ours really quickly (a few days, I believe).
Have fun with your new collar!

This collar is adorable and really well made. I just received it and I love the buckle, pink color and Loki charm. It’s really nice that the collar came USPS as well because it fit in my apartment’s tiny mailbox! My Lady Bella Chihuahua loves it and so do I! Thanks for recommending it!

I love The Cool Puppy!!! My Yogi is a 31/2 yr. old, 22lb Bijone Shiz-su, and his collar and leash have held up great for over a year. I have ordered 2 more sets to save for the years to come.
