Review: Bit-O-Luv Bistro Beef Dog Treats
With so many different pet products out there to choose from, it’s really hard not to get sucked into creative packaging and catchy names…
I’ll admit I fell hook, line and sinker for Bit-O-Luv Dog Treats when I saw the cool looking bag. Honestly, the bag was already in-hand and heading for the shopping cart when I saw the words “Made With USDA Inspected Beef” printed on the front of the snazzy orange packaging.
Sold!
Oh yeah, it also helped that I was buying these from Costco, so it only cost like 13 bucks for a mammoth 32 oz bag.
Really, it was much of a gamble when it came to whether the dogs would like these–immediately confirmed when that human-esque beef jerky aroma shot out of the bag like a canon when I opened it. Every living being in the household was at my feet in seconds.
So, with Bit-O-Luv’s Bistro Beef treats, we have yet another high-quality, natural and highly desirable product for your dog. The most pleasant surprise for me was finding these guys at Costco–normally known for quantity over quality when it comes to pet food and treats.
I’m hoping this is a sign that high-quality dog eats are headed more towards affordable prices, and more Costco aisles!
Pros: Large quantity for an affordable price, high-quality ingredients, very high-value treat for even the pickiest of pooches.
Cons: They’re a bit greasy, so don’t let your dog take them to the carpet. Because there’s no artificial stuff in these, they’re more perishable than the average treat. The Bit-O-Luv folks suggest keeping them in the fridge to maintain their freshness.

I agree that Bit O Luv dog treats are wonderful. I first found them at Costco in the 32 oz. bag. But the problem now is Costco doesn’t sell them anymore and the only size bag you can find is 4 oz at a silly price. I do like the treats for my dog and she (Katie) loves them too.
That’s too bad your Costco stopped carrying them! They’re selling really well at my local Costco and they’re still carrying them (actually JUST got back from Costco and saw them there). I’ve also seen them in smaller sizes at Wal-Mart. Can’t remember the price, but it should be the next best thing to the Costco price.
I think sometimes Costco just doesn’t stock all their stuff all the time. That, or they were out for awhile. The 2 times when I was at our Costco I didn’t see them, but this last time they were back in stock. Maybe try asking about them?
I just found these on sale at Big Lots for $1 per 4 oz bag! They have the same texture and aroma as Pupperonis, and my dog seems to love them just as much. I’m thinking of going back later this week and clearing out their entire stock. The packaging and website are just toooooo cute. These would make a great x-mas prezzie for my pet-loving – and owning – friends (throw in a shrinky-dink pet tag and you’re done).
That is definitely a sweet deal lsmonkey! Make sure to keep the packages in the fridge once you open them!
Costco sucks on their marketing. Something sells well and then they don’t stock anymore. What do we tell our pets?
Costco marketing SUCKS. They have something that sell wellm and then they pull it. What do we tell out pets
Gil,
Definitely agree that Costco makes some odd choices about where to sell certain products and for how long to sell them…the pet stuff in particular seems to always be changing.
Its time to tell BIT O Luv Oberti if they can’t make a deal with Costco, then make the 32 oz package available to everyone and forget costco
I bought all the remaining supply. My dogs love em.
Its not Coscos fault. I bought about 10 32oz. bags from Dollar General back early spring for – $1.00 DOLLAR A BAG!!!!! Thats right one dollar and the regular price was $5.00 for the 32oz. bag. And the reason was the 32oz bag was going out of stock. Now the website http://www.bitoluv.com is not available and “Oberto” the father company of “Bitoluv” dont have them available anywhere! Amazon is out of 32oz and only the 4oz is available for a fortune. Does anyone know if they are coming back EVER ? I LOVED THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!
Darn, looks like Bit-O-Luv has bit the dust…
Is this company out of business? My Poopsie really liked this treat. There’s not much you can buy that’s made in the good old USA any more.
Judy,
I did a little research, and it looks like Bit-O-Luv treats have been discontinued
You can still find remaining stocks of these treats online at places like amazon.com (just do a search for bit-o-luv and you should see them!).
Thanks for posting!
